Warranty
Coverage
West Michigan Auto Glass (“we”, “us”, “our”) guarantees that from the date of the installation or repair, the service performed by us will be free from defects in materials and workmanship, subject to the terms and limitations below.
Workmanship: Installation workmanship is covered for as long as you own or lease the vehicle on which the glass was installed by us.
Glass / Materials: The glass itself is covered for 30 days from the installation date against manufacturer defects such as delamination, distortion, or visible blemishes. (This time frame is based on our suppliers’ coverage limits.)
Repairs: For chip repairs, we warrant the repaired portion of the glass will not spread or crack under normal use. If cracking does occur within 90 days, we will apply the cost of the repair toward the cost of a full replacement installed by us (insurance permitting).
ADAS Recalibration (if applicable): If we perform advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) recalibration in connection with a glass replacement, we warrant the recalibration for a period of 90 days or until the next recalibration event, vehicle alignment, or windshield replacement (whichever occurs first).
Leak or Wind-Noise: If you experience wind noise, air leaks, or water intrusion associated with our installation, we will correct the issue at no charge provided the issue is reported in accordance with our notification and claim procedure. This coverage extends for 6 months from the installation date, we must be notified within 7 days of any issues you are experiencing.
Mobile vs Shop: This warranty applies equally to mobile installations performed by us and in-shop installations.
R&I (Remove & Install): If we perform a removal and reinstallation (R&I) of existing glass or customer-supplied parts, you acknowledge that there is always a risk of the glass breaking during this process. If the glass breaks during removal or reinstallation, the customer is responsible for all costs associated with a full replacement. Because we did not supply the glass or parts, no warranty applies to their breakage, fitment, or performance. We guarantee only the quality of our workmanship for the reinstallation itself.
Eligibility & Transferability
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the service (the person who engaged us for the installation) and only to the specific vehicle on which the service was performed.
Non-transferable: The warranty does not transfer to any subsequent owner or lessor of the vehicle.
To use the warranty, you must provide the vehicle identification number (VIN) or work order as proof of service.
Notification & Claim Procedure
You must notify us within 7 days of discovering a potential warranty claim. Delay may void coverage.

When contacting us, please provide: your name, vehicle make and model, vehicle identification number, and description of the issue (photos, when possible).
We reserve the right to inspect the vehicle before approving any repair or replacement under this warranty. All warranty work must be performed by us (or a technician authorized by us). Work performed by others may void the warranty.
What’s Not Covered (Exclusions)
This warranty does not cover:
Damage caused by impact, accident, theft, vandalism, or acts of nature (hail, wind-blown debris, falling objects, floods, etc.).
Glass damage resulting from rock chips, road debris, or normal wear and tear (unless expressly included in a repaired portion).
Leaks or failures caused by pre-existing frame damage, rust, or corrosion of the vehicle body or pinch-weld that existed prior to our service or that were not properly disclosed. If rust or frame damage is discovered and documented, the warranty will be voided.
Any alterations, removal, or service on the glass or adjacent components performed by others after our installation (including aftermarket accessories, antennas, dash-cams, non-OEM parts).
Aftermarket accessories, cameras, or devices: We are not responsible for reattaching any aftermarket cameras or accessories, or any damage that may occur to them during installation if they are not removed before we begin work.
Failure to follow our post-installation care instructions, including but not limited to: recommended drive-away time, avoiding automatic car washes for a specified period, or avoiding extreme stress on the glass or vehicle body.
Parts supplied by the customer (we warrant only parts we supply).
Incidental or consequential damages (e.g., indirect damage to the vehicle, loss of use) to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Post-Installation Care & Drive-Away Instructions
Take it easy on the roads for 24–48 hours.
Avoid high-pressure car washes for 72 hours after installation.
Remove any installation tape around dinner time following the installation (if applicable).
Allow the recommended adhesive cure time before driving; we will advise you of the required delay (commonly at least 1 hour). Driving too soon may prevent proper glass adhesion.
If mobile service was used, park the vehicle on a level surface until the adhesive has set.
If you notice excessive wind noise, air/water intrusion, or visual misalignment within 30 days, contact us immediately.
Other Terms
If we determine the installation is defective and you cannot return the vehicle to us, or we are unable to correct the issue ourselves in a reasonable time, we will work with you to either complete the repair through another trusted company or coordinate a solution remotely.
This warranty replaces and supersedes any prior warranty statements.
The effective date of this warranty is the service date shown on your invoice. Invoices can be provided via email, text, or mail upon request.
Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities. At West Michigan Auto Glass, we back our work. If something isn’t right, we’ll make it right in a fair and transparent manner.
